This is probably the coolest thing ever, and I say this as a girl who grew up ever-so-much in love with Superman, and a woman whose current lifelong dream is to have lunch with Tim Gunn — Tim’s critique of different looks for the Man of Steel. [...] I always was a DC girl — DC Comics, that is. Yeah, I know that with X-Men and all, the past decade or so, it’s been somewhat “cooler” to be Team Marvel instead of Team DC . But I grew up on Superman, on The Justice League, The Legion of Super Heroes and The New Teen Titans. As a kid I read them for fun, as a teen I went to comic book shops — completely changing their demographic statistics every time I walked in the door. [...] I read a lot of comic books as a kid — usually Superman, Justice League of America, that kind of thing. But there was the occasional Archie comic in there somewhere, and I’ve a confession to make: I always rooted for Veronica. Hey, us brunettes have to stick together. — At last, Archie pops [...] |
